The Importance of Being Shiho: A Play in One Paragraph
Dramatis Personae:
Count Luke of Grantham: A young heir to the Grantham Estate, Luke (23 years old) is widely thought to be among the most eligible bachelors in England.
Lady Martina of Grantham: Count Luke's Mother, a dowager
Lady Shiho: A visiting diplomat, considered a highly sought after prospect now that she has reached marriageable age.
Setting: The Grantham Estate, in Northern England. Although grand is scale, it has recently fallen on hard economic times. Its current heir, the young and intelligent Count Luke, has recently returned from a year-long trip to America, where he sought a fiance. Upon his return, he finds that his mother, the dowager Countess Martina of Grantham, has invited a prospect for marriage.
Luke: enters stage right, in his finest evening wear. Oh, hey.
Shiho: LUUUUUKE IS CUUUUTE.
